Caught on camera close up - one of the world's most beautiful and elusive big cats. High up in the Karakoram mountains of northern Pakistan, this snow leopard pads nonchalantly up to the camera, before snarling at it and moving off. The amazing pictures were captured as part of a three year project on carnivore ecology including the snow leopard, also known as the 'grey ghost' or 'ghost cat' because of their shyness.
