A woman who allegedly pointed a gun at Metro police officers was rushed to a Nashville hospital after the officers opened fire at her Tuesday afternoon in Antioch.
Metro police said they received a call of a domestic disturbance about 4:15 p.m. in the 1500 block of Bridgecrest Drive.
When they arrived to the home, officers knocked on the door and were told by the woman - who was holding a gun, threatening suicide - to go away. The officers then forced the door open and saw her point the gun at police, according to a police department spokesman.
